Our Projects

Design Systems
+ Component Libraries

Overview

Design systems and component libraries are essential for creating unified user experiences across digital products. In our work at genioLAB, we focused on building scalable, reusable design frameworks that enabled teams to move faster without compromising consistency or quality.

This case study highlights our contributions to scalable system design—ranging from the creation of modular UI components to implementation in tools like Storybook. By prioritizing adaptability, reusability, and cross-functional collaboration, genioLAB helped streamline workflows, accelerate product iterations, and maintain visual alignment across platforms. The result was cohesive, brand-aligned experiences that scaled efficiently with product growth.

Shareable Component Design

Sharing Is Nice…

To support scalability and cross-team efficiency, genioLAB created a library of shareable components designed for implementation in Storybook. These components were developed with adaptability and reusability in mind, making them accessible not only within the Communications Suite and Customer Experience Center, but across Scorpion’s broader platform ecosystem.

Each element was built to maintain visual and functional consistency, while offering the flexibility needed to adapt to different product contexts. By aligning with brand standards and engineering needs, the component library empowered teams to design, build, and iterate more quickly—establishing a unified user experience across products. This system-wide approach significantly streamlined both design and development, fostering collaboration and accelerating delivery at scale.

Design System - CXC

Starting Things the Right Way

To establish a scalable design foundation for the CXC platform, genioLAB developed a robust component library specifically structured for seamless integration into Storybook. Each component was documented with detailed functionality notes and clear usage guidelines, ensuring alignment between design and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

This unified system enabled faster workflows, reduced redundancy, and promoted visual and functional consistency across the platform. By prioritizing reusability and clarity, the design system empowered Scorpion’s product teams to evolve the interface confidently while maintaining the integrity of a user-centered experience. The result was a cohesive, scalable framework that supported both immediate needs and long-term innovation.

Design Library - DisneyNOW

Housekeeping…

As part of our engagement on the DisneyNOW project, genioLAB led the reorganization and optimization of the app’s design library in Sketch. Our team developed a streamlined, reusable component system that ensured consistency across the user interface while supporting rapid iteration and scalability.

By implementing scalable symbols, organizing artboards with strict naming conventions, and documenting clear usage guidelines, we established a foundation for efficient, collaborative design workflows. This centralized library empowered the broader design team to move faster while maintaining the integrity of Disney’s iconic visual identity. The result was a flexible system that blended the brand’s rich heritage with modern, user-friendly design principles.
